The Middle Fork Greenway is a Blue Ridge Conservancy (BRC) project in partnership with Watauga County, Town of Blowing Rock and the Town of Boone. BRC brings land protection expertise, administrative and financial support, and is well connected within the community.
Many partners are joining together to make the MFG a reality, including Watauga County and the Towns of Boone and Blowing Rock, land owners, including Appalachian Regional Healthcare Systems and the Blue Ridge Parkway, and local community groups, including Boone Area Cyclists and High Country Recreation. Funding partners to date include the Watauga County Tourism and Development Authority, Appalachian District Health Department, Blowing Rock Tourism and Development Authority, Town of Boone, Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation, Clean Water Management Trust Fund, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, Appalachian Ski Mountain, Mast General Stores, NCDOT, ZAP Fitness, Tweetsie Railroad, Watauga County Community Foundation, BREMCO, and many other generous donations from private individuals and businesses across the High Country.
